Crowned Eagle Research
Our flagship project began in 2012, when Shane McPherson established a PhD study based at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and supervised by Professor Colleen Downs.

Our research investigates the ecology and conservation of Crowned eagles in the landscapes of the megacity of Durban.

Our project is expanding to include conservation concerns of African Crowned Eagles throughout their range, as well as a more in depth study of the Durban landscape and its incredible diversity of raptors.
